Here’s a recipe for chicken biryani that you can make at home:


  • 1kg basmati rice
  • 700 gram chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 onion, chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped medium
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 Black peppercorns (Sabut kali mirch)
  • 5/6 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tsp biryani masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder (Haldi Powder)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin Seed or (Zeera)
  • 1 tsp coriander powder (Dhanya Powder)
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp Kewra water
  • 1/2 tsp Yellow food color (Zarda ka rang)
  • 1 cup yogurt (Dahi)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 Lemon slices
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 3 or 4 Green chilies
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6/7 Dried plums (Aloo bukhara)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cilantro, for garnish

How to Make Perfect Chicken Biryani: Step by Step Guide in 60 Minutes.

Step 1: add 2 cup of basmati rice in large pot and rinse the rice thoroughly in cold water and set aside. add 4 cup water and cook rice for 5 to 10 minute. when rice is cooked drain the remaining water and set aside.

Bring a pot of water to a boil and parboil the rice. Drain and set aside.


Step2 : add 1 or 2 cup water

Step3 : add turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon, salt 1/2 tablespoon or according to taste, cumin seeds 1/2 tablespoon, ginger garlic paste 2 tablespoons and mix well.

Step4 : add 2 medium size sliced onion and cook 1 minute.

Step5: add 700 gram chicken. cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.

Step6: cook on high flame for 2 or 3 minutes than set aside.

Step7: add 1/2 cup of oil and add 3 Green Cardamom, 2 black Cardamom, 1/2 tsp Black Peppercorns, 5-6 Cloves, 2-3 Cinnamon Stick, 2 Bay Leaves,

Step8: add 1 or 1/2 tbs coriander Powder, 1 or 2 tsp red chilli powder according to taste, 1/2 tbs garam masala powder, 1 tsp black pepper powder and mix it well and cook for 2 minute

Step9: Mix well and cook for 2 minute

Step10: add 2 or 3 chopped medium size tomatoes and add 1/2 cup yogurt (Dahi) and mix it very well.

Step11: add cooked chicken and mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Step12: add 1/2 cup (fresh coriander) chopped, (mint leaves) chopped, 3-4 red chilli and cook on high flame until oil separates.

Step13: add 8-9 dried plums and take half curry another in pot.

Step14: tham add some fried onion for taste and add 50% boiled rice .

Step15: And now add curry which was taken out and add some fries onion and lemon slices.

Step16: And now remaining rice than mix 2 tbs kewra water and yellow food color and and add in rice and also add some fried onion.

Step17: cover and steam cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes.

Now Chicken Biryani is ready.
